Summer reading program usually begins in the summer, from June to August. The requirements are that the child has to be a library card holder and a parent must register the child for the program. Once they are registered, the child start reading and logging their books to include the title and author of the book. Once a log is filled, they can turn in the document to the Program Coordinator. A child can fill and turn in as many logs as they can, within the program time. Once the program ends, the counts will be tallied and the child that reads the most books will win a prize. This is really exciting for the children. They all work hard towards the incentive of winning a prize. This is real hit with our young readers.
